DEATH OF MRS. HUGH WEAVER

Nancy C. Barnhart was born in Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, December 17, 1821, and died at the home of her son, Alfred Weaver, in Polo, Illinois, April 17, 1907. The deceased was married to Hugh Weaver in 1840 in her native state and they moved to Maryland where they lived until 1846 when they came west, settling in Pine Creek Township, Ogle County, Illinois, where they made their home for twenty years, coming to Polo in 1866. This had been their home ever since that date. Mr. and Mrs. Weaver were the parents of twelve children, six of whom preceeded their mother to the World Beyond. Those who survive her are James, Henry, Alfred and Mrs. Maggie Moats of Polo; Mrs. Annie Phelps of Aurora, and Mrs. Clara Mizner of Chicago. Besides these she leaves eighteen grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Mr. Weaver died in 1898.
Mrs. Weaver had been a member of the Lutheran Church for many years. For several years past she had been quite feeble but her final illness lasted only five weeks. A complication of diseases in connection with her extreme age, more than eighty-five years, was the cause of her death.
Funeral services were conducted Monday afternoon at the Old Town Church by Rev. P. B. Holtgreve and Rev. P. W. Powers. Interment was in the Reed Cemetery. The pall bearers were six grandsons: Louis Moats, Lee Weaver, Jacob Hay, Willie Weaver, John Weaver and Bert Weaver.
