Blanche, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Patrick, died at the home of her parents in this city, on Sunday, Oct. 22, with malignant diiphtheria, from which she had suffered but a few days. The best medical attendanced waited on her, and at times it was supposed she would recover, but all their efforts wer unavailing toward prolonging the life of the child.

Blanche was eleven years old at the time of her death, and was dearly loved by all who knew her, for her winsome and pretty manners, and lovable disposition. At the time of her death, Mr. Patrick was in the West and although telegrams were sent him, he did not receive any of them until it was to late to reach here in time to attend the funeral. The funeral services took place from the house, on Monday, and were attended bby a large number of friends and acquaintances, who were all deeply affected by the sad occurrence.
