Obituary: Republican, Nov 26, 1925; PINE ROCK RESIDENT CALLED; FRED A. LANGHOLF Passed Away Tuesday Morning:

After long months of suffering Fred A. Langholf died Tuesday morning at 3:10 o'clock at his home near Chana. Mr. Langholf had been seriously ill for many months and in July submitted to an operation at the Lincoln Hospital.
Fred Albert Langholf was born in Jefferson City, WI., June 14, 1867, and came to Rochelle thirty years ago. His home had been in this vicinity ever since. Twenty-nine years ago he was united in marriage to Miss Estelle Babb, who is left to mourn with nine children. They are Mrs. Ethel Spraetz of Rochelle; Fred, Frank, Dale, DeLoss, Lucille, Irene, Wanda and Deever, all residing at home. Mr. Langholf had no other near surviving relatives.
Through his long illness Mr. Langholf had been a patient sufferer and his family have been most considerate and thoughtful of his comfort. He was a kind husband and father and his passing is a blow to the family and many friends.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 o'clock Wednesday afternoon from the home, with burial at Lawnridge Cemetery at Rochelle.--Rochelle News.

Obituary: Rochelle News, Dec., 1929; MRS. FRED LANGHOLF DIES AT OGLE HOTEL:

Mrs. Fred Langholf passed away Friday morning, Dec 20, 1929 at the home of her mother with whom she was residing at the Ogle Hotel. Her death occurred after a brief illness.
Rachael Estelle Babb was born at Rochelle, Dec 21, 1877, and if her life had been prolonged one more day she would have celebrated the 52nd anniversary of her birth. She was united in marriage to Frederick A. Langholf, Jan 14, 1897. Nine children were born into the home, who are as follows: Frederick and Delos, of Garmon (should be Harmon); Ethel, of Springfield; Frank, of Rochelle; Dale, of the University of WI.; Lucille, of Miami,FL.; Irene, of Rockford; Wanda, of Dixon, and Dever, of Garmon(should be Harmon). Mr. Langholf passed away in 1925. The deceased is also survived by her mother, Mrs. Sylvester Swartz, two sisters, Mrs. N.C. Sampson, Mrs. George Rogers,Jr., and three brothers, Charles, James and Fred Babb, of Rochelle. Before coming to this city recently, Mrs. Langholf had resided at Harmon for a few years. Most of her life was spent in this vicinity.
Funeral services were held at the Presbyterian Church Sunday afternoon, with the pastor, Rev. F.A. Campbell conducting the services. Interment was made in the family lot in Lawnridge Cemetery.

Funeral services for Mrs. Estelle Langhoff, who died Friday, Dec 20, at the Ogle Hotel, where she resided with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Sylvester Swartz, proprietors of the hotel, were held from the Presbyterian Church the ensuing Sunday afternoon. Rev. Frank A. Campbell, pastor of the church, officiated. Interment was made in Lawnridge Cemetery.
