GEORGE SCHREIBER DIES

George, the son of Andrew and Catherine Schreiber was born in Baden, Germany on February 27, 1848 and quietly lieft the scenes of this world on November 25, 1940. Thus the unusually long span of life allotted him was 92 years, 8 months and 28 days. At the time of his death he was at the residence of his son, Warren, where he had made his home for some time.

Mr. Schreiber came to America amd to this community with his parents when about six years of age. He lived in Forreston for about 11 years. With that exception he has spent almost all of his life at or near the place where his parents settled.

One June 25, 1891 he was united in holy wedlock to Mary Ellen Mayer with whom he shared life's sunshine and shadow till she passed away in 1937. This union was blessed with three children.

When a young man about 18 years of age he gave his life to Christ and became a part of the North Grove Evangelical Church. To his Master and to his church he has been true for about 74 years. He was elected to and served with honor several imprtant church offices. Among these were trustee and class leader.

A brother, Jacob Schreiber and a sister, Mrs. Emma Diehl, have preceded him in death. The immediate relatives surviving are the three children, Earl F., Leaf River; Mrs. Florence Marie Kennedy, German Valley; Warren, also of Leaf River and one sister, Mrs. Ellen Stebbins of Idaho.
