Mrs. Susan S. Weaver

Susan Samsel Weaver was born in Maryland, February 7, 1850 and passed from life September 26, 1935.
She was married at Dixon, Ill, October 12, 1868 to James F. Weaver, who preceded her in death, April 12, 1935. All of their married life was spent in and near Polo.
To this union were born five sons and three daughters: William, Frank, and Elmer of Polo; Bert of Freeport, John of Defiance, Ohio, Mrs. Letta Hays of Oregon, Ill., Mrs. Hazel Duffey of Polo, and Mrs. Minnie Coursey who passed away fourteen years ago.
Besides her seven living children, she leaves four sisters and two brothers: Mrs. Augusta Ludy of Emporia, Kansas; Mrs. Emily Kincaid of Hamilton, Ill; Mrs. Phronia Rogers of Burket, Nebraska; Mrs. Cora Young of Brama, Missouri ; Charles, also of Missouri; and Theodore of Salt Lake City.
There are fourteen grandchildren, six great grandchildren and many friends to mourn her passing.
Funeral services were held at the home on West North street Saturday afternoon at two o'clock in charge of Rev. Ora W. Garber. Burial was in the Old Town Cemetery.
