NYE—Ulysses C. Nye, 5706 Lemon Ave., died today in a Long Beach hospital. He was a native of Mt. Morris Ill., and came to Long Beach from Phoenix, Ariz. in 1925. He was a musician. Mr. Nye was a member of First Methodist Church of Long Beach, affiliated with Mt. Morris Masonic Lodge and the Scottish Rite at Freeport, Ill. The widow, Gertrude, survives. The service will be held tomorrow at Mottell’s Chapel. Entombment will be in Sunnyside Mausoleum. The family requests flowers be omitted.

Services for Ulysses Clarence Nye of 5706 Lemon Ave., who died Thursday in a local hospital, will be conducted at 1 p.m. today in Mottell's Chapel, with entombment following in Sunnyside Mausoleum. Friends are requested to omit flowers.
A professor at Chicago Music College for 12 years Mr. Nye was born in Mount Morris, Ill, and came to Long Beach in 1925, from Phoenix. He was a member of the First Methodist Church, the Mt Morris Lodge, F & A. M. and the Scottish Rite in Freeport, Ill.
Surviving are the wife, Gertrude; and several neices and nephews.
