Mrs. Caroline Drumheller
Mrs. Caroline Drumheller, nee Schreiber, was born in Hegins Township, Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania, November 12, 1842. She spent the early part of her life in Pennsylvania. In 1857 she was united in holy wedlock to Senerius Drumheller. To this union were born thirteen children.
About fifty years ago the family settled in Adeline. A few years later they moved to Leaf River Township. It was while she was living here that she lost her husband and nine children in death. For the past nine years, she has made her home with her sons in Mt. Morris.
After a brief illness Mrs. Drumheller passed away on Wednesday, November 4, 1919, at the age of 76 years, 11 months, and 22 days. She leaves to mourn four sons, Charles, James, Wm., and Ernest, all of Mt. Morris; two sisters, Mrs. Malinda Heater of Lone Rock, Iowa, Mrs. Kate Graham of Egan; three brothers, Rudolph Schreiber of Humboldt, Iowa, B. F. Schreiber of Egan, and many other relatives and friends.
The funeral services were held Friday from the home of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Stukenberg at Leaf River and from the North Grove Evangelical Church, Rev. Wm. E. Grote officiating.
