Death of Mrs. Dan Barber

Mrs. Catherine Schucker Barber, wife of Daniel Barber, died at her home in Leaf River Tuesday morning having been ailing several years. Catherine Schucker was born July 17, 1860 in Pennsylvania. At the age of 7 she came with her parents and has resided here all the time. She was married first to Charles Fogle. To this union were born six children, all of whom survive, Mrs. Mary Dayhoff of Adeline, George Fogle of Hancock, Minn., John Fogle of Waterloo, Iowa, Mrs. Lillian Larson of Rockford, Mrs. Rosa Spiker of Hathway, Mich. and Bessie Kuntzelman of Oregon.

Mrs. Barber married her second husband February 21, 1895. Two children were born to this union who with the husband survive, Mrs. Minnie Sauer of Oregon and Mrs. Nannie Martin of Mt. Morris. There are 27 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. She leaves two brothers and two sisters, Mrs. Sarah Blevins of Kansas City, Mrs. Sarah Case, John and William Schucker, all of St. Edwards, Nebr. Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at the U. B. Church and will be in charge of Rev. R. W. Pittman. Burial will be in Lightsville Cemetery.
