FELKER -- At her home in Mount Morris, Ill., Sunday Feb. 29, 1880, of pneumonia, Mrs. Catherine Felker, agec 66 years, 10 months and 5 days.

Mrs. Catherine Felker was born in Greencastle, Franklin County, Pa., April 24, 1813. Married to Abraham Felker in 1833, and the same year moved to Washington County, Md. She was the mother of eleven children, nine of whom survive her and now mourn her loss. She died in her own home, Feb. 29, 1880. A great sorrow has fallen upon this large family and the church, in the loss of this dear mother, but the cup is sweetened and the burden lightened by the sure hope of its being to her the entrance into a better life. When I visited sister Felker a few days before her death she spoke of her suffering being very severe. It seemed to me she said I could not live, but felt happy and ready to go. Sister Felker was an earnest and devoted Christian; trained by religious duties; and trusting the Saviour to the last, she found the promise verified, he giveth his beloved sleep, sweet sleep.

Asleep in Jesus, blessed sleep,

From which none ever wakes to weep;

A calm and undisturbed repose,

Unbroken by the last of foes.
