Catherine (Lee) Fletcher
Wednesday morning Mrs. Fletcher died suddenly. She had been ailing a few days before but Tuesday was about the house.
Mrs. Catherine Fletcher, (nee Lee) was born in the County of Amaugh, Ireland, April 16, 1809; was married to Joseph Fletcher in New York City in 1847; removed to Canada where they resided until they came to Rockvale Township, Ogle County, in 1851 and settled on the farm now owned by Mr. ...became residents of the Village of Byron. Deceased was a member of the Oregon M. E. Church for about eighteen years; a faithful Christian, a kind and affectionate wife and mother and of a remarkably charitable disposition. She leaves a husband and three children--two sons, Wesley, and Henry of Alden, Mardin Co., Iowa; one daughter, Mrs. Margaretta Ackerson, of Oregon.
The funeral services are to be held to-day at 10 oclock, in the Congregational Church, conducted by Rev. J. Gibson. The remains will be interred in the Brooklyn Graveyard in Rockvale.
