Mt Morris Index Friday 12-3-1943

Charles F. Drumheller, a life long resident of this locality, died Monday afternoon at his home at 414 West Brayton Road after an illness of about one year, the immediate cause of death being a paralytic shock with which he was stricken on Tuesday of last week.
A carpenter by trade, Mr. Drumheller also was a building contractor for a period of years and was well known in local business circles until ill health forced his retirement.
Mr. Drumheller was born June 7, 1866, in Leaf River Township, the son of Senerius and Caroline Drumheller, and at death was 77 years, five months, and 22 days of age. His marriage to Sadie Wakenight of Mt. Morris occurred December 22, 1897.
Seven children were born to this union, four of whom, with the widow survive. They are Mrs. Gladys Smice of Oregon; Miss Lillian, at home; Sgt. Kenneth, serving with the field artillery in Sicily, and Floyd, a recent Army inductee now stationed at Denver. Preceding him in death were two children who died in infancy and a daughter, Mrs. Ruth Paul. who's death was about 17 months ago at Chana. Funeral services were conducted yesterday afternoon at the Church of the Brethren, the rites being in charge of Rev. Foster B. Statler, and burial was made in Plainview Cemetery.
