C. V. COFFMAN IS CALLED BY DEATH
PASSES AWAY AT HIS HOME HERE AFTER A FEW DAYS OF ACUTE ILLINESS

Was Born in Pine Creek Township in 1865 and Resided in This Vicinity All His Life—Burial Made at the Polo Cemetery.

Our community was shocked last Friday morning to learn of the death of Charles V. Coffman, after a few days’ illness of ulcers of the bowels. Mr. Coffman had been ill about a year ago from an acute attack of the trouble, but had recovered, and was moving about as usual in his circle of friends, but he never regained his usual health.

Mr. Coffman, since his retirement from the farm in 1915, had been a resident of Mount Morris, winning the respect of all by his quiet, unobtrusive manner, sincere in his friendships and a good neighbor and friend.

The respect in which he was held was evidenced by the large attendance at the funeral Tuesday afternoon, from the Methodist Church. Forty-two cars composed the funeral cortege, which proceeded to Polo, where interment was made in the cemetery at that place.
