MRS ROBERT McCLURE DIES IN VANCOUVER

Was Prominent Mount Morris Lady for Many Years -- Funeral Services Conducted Here Monday

On Monday morning at the home of Mrs. Hugh Allen occurred the funeral services for her mother, Mrs. Robert Davis McClure, who died suddenly on last Wednesday morning at her home in Vancouver, Washington.

Elizabeth Allen, youngest child of Aaron Quinby Allen and Elizabeth Swingley Allen was born May 25, 1855 in Mount Morris, Illinois. On January 1, 1874 she was married to Robert Davis McClure who died February 5, 1903. To them were born four children, all of whom survive: Mary E. McClure and Robert R. McClure of Vancouver, Washington, and Maud McClure and Martha McClure Allen of Mount Morris. She is survived by two granddaughters also, Martha McClure in Vancouver, Washington,, and Mary Libbie Allen in Mount Morris. Three brothers and three sisters have preceded her in death.

At the age of fourteen she became a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church, to which membership she always adhered. She was also a member of the Mount Morris Chapter of the Women's Relief Corps.

She departed the life at Vancouver, Washington, on May 25, 1927, aged just seventy two years. She was laid to rest by the side of her husband in Oakwood Cemetery.
