Byron Express, Friday 2-6-1931
Mrs. Elizabeth Palmer, wife of Henry W. Palmer, of Rockvale Township, succumbed to a long illness at her home west of Byron, on Tuesday evening, Febuary 3, 1931. Mrs. Palmer was a native of Rockvale Township, born on March 5, 1872. She was united in marriage to Mr. Palmer at Mt. Morris, fourty-three years ago. She is survived by her husband, five daughters; Mrs. William Saam, Mrs. Samuel Doyle, and Mrs. John Paul, all of Byron, Mrs. Maurice Johnson of Rockvalle and Mrs. William Moth, of Seward; three sons, Emery and John of Byron and Charles of Roswell, New Mexico; and twenty-six grandchildren. Funeral services will be held from the home this (Friday) morning at ten o'clock, and will be conducted by Rev. McCune, of Mt. Morris. Burial will be at Silver Creek Cemetery, south of Leaf River.
