"A Sad Bereavment"

"Lizzie, wife of Conrad Reints, was born in Soham, Cambridgeshire Co., England, October 1, 1863, and died June 18, 1895, aged 31 years, 8 months and 27 days.

Mrs. Reints came to this country in 1883, in company with her parents, landing at Holcomb, Ogle County, Illinois, where she remained for a time, after which she came to this neighborhood, remaining here untl her death.

She was married to Conrad Reints about 11 years ago. Seven children were born to her, two of which preceded her to the grave. Five remain to mourn, with their father, their irreparable loss. It surely is a grevious mourning when five little children are left motherless. They have the sympathy of this entire community. Many warm hearts yearn for them in their loneliness and sorrow. May the kind heavenly father tenderly care for them, now that mother is gone.

The funeral servces were held in the Union church of this place, a large number being present. Sermon, by the writer, from Romans 8:10, 11. The remains were interred in the cemetery there. G. A. Brown, Lindenwood, Illinois"
