Mrs. Daniel Ambrose of Dixon was buried last Thursday from the Church of the Brethren. Short funeral services were held at her late home in Dixon by her pastor, Rev. Shaw. Mrs. Ambrose lived here for many years prior to moving to Dixon.

MRS. AMBROSE DIED THIS AFTERNOON
The funeral of Mrs. Daniel Ambrose was held this morning at 10 o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Catherine Carlson, 312 Central Place, after which the remains were taken to Pine Creek where short services were held at the Brethren Church with burial at the cemetery there. Rev. O. F. Shay had charge of both services. Emaline Travis was born Sept. 23, 1843, in Frederick County, Maryland and died at the Dixon Hospital February 24, 1914, at the age of 70 years, 5 months and 1 day. She was united in marriage to Daniel Ambrose in Washington County, Maryland, October 12, 1860, later coming to Illinois and for many years residing in Pine Creek township. A few years ago they moved to Dixon and have since resided here. Mrs. Ambrose was for many years a faithful member of the Church of the Brethren. She was a sweet and lovable woman and had many warm friends. She is survived by a sorrowing afflicted husband, son, George of Auburn, Illinois and a daughter, Mrs. Catherine Carlson of this city. Also two brothers, William and Frank Travis of Polo, and three sisters, Mrs. Mary Brown of Dixon, Mrs. Amy Everly of Pine Creek and Mrs. Lizzie Spickler of Irwin, Iowa.
