Mrs. Emma Myers Dies at Leaf River---(Special to the Register-Gazette)
Leaf River, March 7--Mrs. Emma Myers, resident of this vicinity for nearly three-quarters of a century, died this morning at her home one mile north of Leaf River.
Mrs. Myers was born in Pennsylvania, October 7, 1847 and came here in early girlhood. She was married to William Myers of Leaf River 60 years ago. He preceded her in death.
Seven children survive. Mrs. Ida Heller, Roscoe; Mrs. Minnie Bardell, Highland City Fla; Mrs. Gertrude Clem, Loves Park; Elsie, Jesse and George at home and Milton of Leaf River. There are also 17 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren in addition to four brothers, Richard Kuntzelman, Frank Kuntzelman, Aaron Kuntzelman and Joseph Kuntzelman, all of Leaf River, and a sister, Mrs. Frances Motter of Nurdo [sic], SD. Funeral arrangements are not completed.

DEATH TAKES LEAF RIVER RESIDENT, 80 -- Leaf River, March 8 -- (Special) -- Mrs. Emaline Myers, a pioneer resident of Ogle County, died at her home in Lightsville at 10:30 am, Wednesday at the age of 80 years.
Seven children, four brothers, one sister, 7 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren survive her.
She was born in Pennsylvania on Oct 7, 1847 and came to Illinois early in life. Her husband preceded her in death 17 years ago.The surviving children are Mrs. Ida Heller, Roscoe, Mrs. Minnie Bardwell, Highland City, Fla, Mrs. Gertrude Clem, Loves Park, Milton, George Jesse and Miss Elsie Myers, all at home.
Mrs. Frances Motter, a sister, residing in South Dakota, and four brothers, Richard, Franklin, Joel and Aaron Countryman [sic], also survive.Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon from the North Grove Evangelical Church, the Rev. S. R. Foltz officiating. Mrs Myers was a member of the United Brethren Church.
