Mt Morris-Mrs. Etta Coffman, 89, died at 6 p.m. Thursday in her home after a brief illness.

Mrs. Coffman was born in Pine Creek Township, Ogle County, Nov. 23, 1864. She was married to Charles Coffman March 22, 1886 in McPherson, Kans. The couple farmed in Pine Creek Township until 40 years ago whey they retired and moved to Mt. Morris.

Surviving are a son, Floyd Coffman, Polo; two sisters, Mrs. Orpha Fearer, with whom she lived and Mrs. Lily Puterbaugh, Lanark; and a brother Otis Newcomer, Lanark. Her husband died in 1922.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Mt. Morris Methodist Church. The Rev. John Nightingale, pastor will officiate. Burial will be in Fairmount Cemetery, Polo.
