Unidentified death notice: It has pleased the Lord over life and death to take to Himself in His heavenly kingdom our dear wife, mother and grandmother, Fannie Kampen (Hassebroek), through death. She was born in Ostfriesland on January 27, 1826 and died on March 22, 1907 in her home at Baileyville, Illinois at the age of 81 years, 1 month and 27 days. On April 3, 1853 she married Hinrich Kampen in Oldersum, Ostfriesland and in 1855 they came to America where they experienced the joys and sorrows of life. Of the 7 children sent to them, one, Henry Kampen Jr. died some 15 years ago. the six living children are Weert, Dakota , Illinois; Mrs. Klaas Roskam, Harper, Illinois; William, Twin Brooks, S. Dakota, Albert, Adeline, Illinois; John, Calamus, Iowa and Mrs. Lewis Korf, Forreston, Illinois. The decreased was member of the German Baptist Church in Baileyville, Illinois. The burial took place from that church on March 25 to Scott's Cemetery. Pastor Draemel preached the funeral sermon on Revelation 14:13.
