Died --At her late residence in Byron, Thursday evening, March 27, 1884, Fannie Mershon, aged 37 years, wife of Mr. J. R. Mershon.

The deceased was born in Marion Township, Ogle Co., April 9th, 1847. Her maiden name was Fannie Weller. The departed was married to J. R. Mershon January 6, 1873.

The funeral services were held in the Congregational Church, Rev. J. Gibson preaching an appropriate sermon from 23rd verse of Chapter XXX in the Book of Job. The Choir under the leadership of Messrs. J. H. Helm and E. A. Nott rendered appropriate music. An unusually large number attended the funeral services. The remains were interred in Byron Cemetery last Saturday afternoon.

The deceased leaves a husband and two children. Her family and a large circle of friends mourn her departure.
