FREDERICK CORNELL DIES

Frederick D. Cornell was born September 9, 1855 in a log house on part of the homestead where he has always resided. He died Thursday, August 30, 1934, aged 78 years, 11 months, and 20 days. The deceased was the oldest son of David and Elizabeth Hopwood Cornell. Two brothers, Noble and George, and a sister, Mrs. Belle Malone, have preceded him. His youngest brother, William, resides in Leaf River.

He was united in marriage to Emma Bly, February 15, 1883. To this union two children were born, Edna Mae of Rockford, and Floyd F. of Detroit. Mr. and Mrs. Cornell celebrated their golden wedding anniversary February 15, 1933.

Mr. Cornell united with the Methodist Episcopal Church over 52 years ago and remained an active member until four years ago when sickness prevented his participation. Surviving are his wife, children, brother, and other relatives.

Schade, Ashton; Mr. and Mrs. Bartlett, Chicago; Mr. and Mrs. Spencer Allendorf, and Mr. and Mrs. Glenn LaDue, Rockford; Mr. and Mrs. Jack Cornell of Appleton, Wis.
