Photo is of my grandfather, James Garfield Long (1879-1947), resident of Pine Creek Township.
I believe he is operating a horse-drawn binder machine. I am no farmer so perhaps someone on the Ogle County site could verify this machinery. Photo believed to have been taken in the 1930's.
