Grace McCoy Coffman obituary, Dixon Evening Telegraph (Dixon, Illinois) 24 April 1950

Mt Morris-Mrs. Grace McCoy Coffman, 80, died suddenly enroute to a Rockford hospital early Sunday morning of a heart attack. She lived at 205 South Ogle Avenue, Mt. Morris.
She was born April 6, 1870 in Mt. Morris, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John E. McCoy. She was married to Frank Coffman in Mt. Morris in January of 1898. A life long resident of this town, she was a charter member of the Fortnightly club.
She is survived by two sons, H. E. Coffman, local lumber and coal business man, and Hugh Coffman, Chicago, and one sister, Mrs. Canode of Kendalville, Ind. Her husband preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Finch funeral home with Pastor Alfred A. Stone of the Lutheran church officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
