Henry W. Garman, 78, passed away at a local hospital at 6:30 o'clock last evening following an illness extending over the past several months. Mr. Garman resided at 435 South Chicago Avenue.
Funeral services will be conducted from the family home at 1 o'clock Wednesday afternoon and at 2:30 o'clock from the Brookville Evangelical Church. The services will be conducted by Rev. Frank Brandfellner, Pastor of Trinity Evangelical Church, Freeport. He will be assisted by Rev. H. C. Stephan, Shannon, and Rev. J. E. Wiedmer, Brookville. Burial will be made in the Brookville Cemetery.
Mr. Garman was born at Brookville, March 3, 1852. He was united in marriage to Miss (Mrs.) Mary Paul, April 24, 1880. He is survived by his widow. One daughter passed away in infancy. Two brothers and a sister likewise survive: Riley Garman, Forreston; Jack Garman, residing in South Dakota; and Mrs. William Paul, Brookville. Mr. Garman has been engaged in the dairying business in Freeport for the past several years.
