Obituary:
"1848-November 12, 1907; A number from here attended the funeral services of Henry Rice at White Rock Center, Sunday. Mr. Rice was well known in this vicinity, having lived in Ogle County all his life. At the time of his death he resided near Paines Point. He was a grandson of John Campbell, who was shot by the 'Prairie Bandits.' Besides a wife, he left one daughter, Mrs. George Gale, of Paines Point. The interment was made at the White Rock Center Cemetery. John Campbell was captain of the 'Regulators' and was shot by David Driscoll, June 27, 1841."
