Unidentified death notice: We use this means to inform our friends and relatives that it has pleased the Lord to take to Himself my dear wife and our children's loving mother, Janna (Hassebroek) Dooyen. She died at the age of 80 years, 2 months and 14 days after a long illness. She was born on December 19, 1829 at Westerhusnen, Ostfriesland. In 1853 she came to Silver Creek, Illinois and in 1856 she entered into marriage with Sient Ahrens Dooyen by Pastor Wagner. This marriage was blessed with 8 children, 3 of who preceded the mother in death. She lived many years with her husband in happy marriage on a farm south of Florence Station, Illinois near the Prairie Dell Church. On Sunday Afternoon she was laid to rest in the Prairie Dell Cemetery. Many attended the service despite the bad roads. In the names of the relatives,
