JOHN C. LAMONT
Esmond, May 4, 1937 - John C Lamont, 82, residing in Lynnville Township, 21/2 miles sothwest of Esmond, died at 1:40 p.m. yesterday at Lincoln Hospital in Rochelle, where he underwent an emergency operation last night.
Mr. Lamont was born at Silver Creek, New York, May 11, 1854, the son of Agnes McClymont and Samuel Lamont, and came to Lynnville Township with his parents at the age of 6. He had resised there since. Surviving are three brothers, Robert, with whom he resided near Esmond, James of White Rock and Dr. F.G. Lamont of Belvidere; a sister, Mrs. Bell Bump, Esmond; and several neices and nephews in Mitchell, Neb., Laramie, Wyo., Kirkland, Rockford, and Esmond.
Funeral services will be held at the home at 2 p.m. Thursday with burial in Woodlawn Cemetery near Creston.
