Josiah Faulders was born July 27, 1830 in Washington County , Md., died Sept. 17, 1899 aged 69 years 1 month and 20 days. He was confined to his bed for 23 weeks and bore his suffering with great patience.
He came to Ogle County, Ill., 1851 and ever since resided here. was married to Sarah Helen Myers Feb. 17., 1862, this union being blessed with four children; a son died in infancy.
He leaves a wife and three daughters; Mrs. Ida Piper, Carrie and Lizzie; one sister and one brother; three sisters having preceded him to the grave. He was a kind and loving husband and father and always greatly devoted to his family.
Bro. Faulders was a member of the Christian Church for about 34 years, and was a faithful co-worker in the gospel of Christ; a good, loyal, quiet citizen, kind and orderly in his manner of life, a man of good respect.. . . . A large sympathizing congregation attended the funeral services at the North Grove Christian Church on the 20th inst., when, after the Christian service we laid the body in the cemetery. . . .
