Miss Julia Anna (Ann) Hutchins was born February 14, 1831, in Oneida county, New York (between Syracuse and Utica). She departed this life August 22, 1918, at Byron. She came with her parents when a small child, to Ohio, and later to McHenry county, Ill. She was married to William Osborn November 22, 1863. Soon after their marriage, Mr. and Mrs. Osborn came to Byron where her home remained until the time of her departure, save ten years spent in Oregon (Illinois). Her companion departed this life on July 12, 1891. Fred L. Osborn was her only child. The step-children that are living are Mrs. Addie Mix, W.B. and Maurice P. Osborn. When a child she was converted and became a member of the church of her choice, where through her long life she always manifested the sincerest and most devoted of Christian spirits. Funeral services were conducted from the home of her son, Saturday, August 24, by Revs. Zackman and Crickette, and the body laid to rest in the Byron cemetery.
