"BILLIG*---On Friday eveing (sic), May first, 1885.

"Mrs. Cyrus Billig, at her home six miles south of Forreston, Ill., of consumption, aged 41 years and 27 days.

"Deceased was an estimable woman in all respects. About 28 years ago she embraced religion, and has since been an honored member of the United Brethern church, dying in the faith of her conversion. In 1865 she was married to Mr. Cyrus Billig, from which union six children were born, four only remaining to mourn the loss of a kind affectionate mother, and some of them are too young to even know of the departure of their parent, and none can ever fill her place so effectually. The funeral sermon was preached by Rev. Neitz at the Evangelical church Sunday afternoon, where a very large concourse of people were present to pay their last sad rites to the deceased, and follow her to the final resting place, in White Oak Cemetery."
