Death of Klaas E. Stromberg

The death of Klaas E. Stromberg, formerly a resident of this locality, occurred Thursday, May 31, at Grundy Center, Iowa, he having succumbed to apoplexy at the age of seventy one years. The deceased was a native of Germany, where in 1877 occurred his marriage to Dina Boom. They came to America in 1894. Nine children were born to them, three of whom survive. His wife passed from life in 1917. The funeral service was held Sunday afternoon from the German church, Rev. Dickhoff pastor of the church officiating, assisted by Rev. M. S. Freeman, pastor of the Oregon Methodist Church.
