LAURA VIRGINIA ROW-ZELLERS

Laura V. Row-Zellers, was born August 15, 1850 near Chambersburg, Franklin Co., Pa. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Row and died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. T.R. Messamer near Panther store April 11, 1937, aged 86 years, 8 months and 26 days. The other members of her family, three brothers and three sisters, all have preceded her in death. She was with the Lutheran church in early childhood and moved to Illinois to live with her sister in 1872. There she met David Zellers and was married on December 19, 1876. They moved to a farm three miles north of Mount Morris, Ill., where they resided 26 years. This is where their three children were born. One daughter Nettie Irene, passed away December 29, 1921. One son, Oliver Benton and one daughter, Beulah Viola are living near Panther store. In 1899 Laura with her husband, and family, moved to a farm west of Adel and resided there until 1907at which time they moved into Adel where they resided at the time of her husbands death on March 11th, 1926. She continued to make her home in Adel for three years, after which time she went to live with her son and family until 3 months ago when she went to live her daughter. She leaves in passing, besides a son and daughter, 13 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. "There is no death ! The stars go down to rise on some fairer shore ! And bright in heaven's jeweled crown they shine forever more. There is no death ! An angel form walks o'er the earth with silent tread. He bears our best loved ones away and then we call them dead."
