LEWIS F. FOSSLER CALLED BY DEATH

Eight weeks after the death of his wife, Lewis F. Fossler, 76, died yesterday afternoon at 3:20 o'clock at the home of his son, Police Sergt. Ralph R. Fossler, 1617 Vernon Street.

Mr. Fossler had been in failing health since the death of his wife and his condition became worse last Friday.

He was born Feb. 5, 1856 in Leaf River Township in Ogle County and had resided in Rockford for the last thirty-two years.

Besides Police Sergt. Fossler, he leaves two other sons, Roy Fossler, Genoa; and Gail Fossler, Rockford; and a daughter, Mrs. I. S. Schreiber, Rockford. He also leaves a stepson, H. L. Bailey, Chicago, and a stepdaughter, Mrs. J. J. Reddy, Dix, Neb. There are nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

He also leaves five brothers and a sister. They are Harvey Fossler, Williamsburg, Ia.; Charles and John Fossler, Leaf River; Mrs. Viola Lindsay and Walter Fossler, Mount Morris; and Irving Fossler, Portland, Ore.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Ralph Fossler residence, 1617 Vernon Street. The Rev. John Gordon will officiate and burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery
