Mrs. Lucy Weed died Friday morning, Feb. 12, at the residence of J. R. Sensor, of old age, hastened by a cold.

Deceased was born in Greenfield, Saratoga Co., N. Y., July 13, 1800; married Wm. Weed January 13, 1819; moved to Nunda, Livingston Co., N.Y., in 1823, emigrated to Illinois in 1854; came to Byron in 1877. At the age of 17 she was converted and joined the Baptist Church to which she has been a faithful member ever since. Her funeral services were held at the house and were conducted by Rev. Chute of the Stillman Valley Baptist Church and Rev. J. H. Thomas.

Lovejoy Johnson and wife, D. N. Dake, T. H. Baker, Wm. Dake and wife, J. Osgood of Stillman Valley, attended the funeral.
