SHANNON -- Mrs. Jacob (Margaret) Fransen died here Sunday. The former Margaret Frey was born in Holland, Jan. 23, 1869, the daughter of John and Marie Frey. She was married to Jacob Fransen, June 15, 1888, in Holland. He died in 1936.

Survivors include three sons, Jake of Shannon, Henry of Bryon, and Frank in California; four daughters, Mrs. Albert (Grace) Johnson of Shannon, with whom she had been living with, Mrs. Cord (Marie) Danekas of Byron, Mrs. Henry (Margaret) Boomgarden of rural Freeport, and Mrs. George (Jennie) Crouse of Clinton, Iowa; three brothers, Richard Frey of Freeport, one in Holland and one in Germany; two sisters, both in Holland; 32 grandchildren, 57 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Three sons also preceded her in death.

Service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Bethel Evangelical United Brethren Church, Shannon. The Rev. Robert W. Hartman, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Crane's Grove Cemetery.

Friends may call at Scharman Funeral Home Tues. evening.
