Martin D. Kembel
Died--At his residence in Adeline, Sunday, May 3, 1896, and buried in Adeline cemetery, Tuesday, Martin D. Kemble. He was born in Northumberland
county, Jackson Township, Pennsylvania, February 4, 1816, Aged at death eighty-one years, two months and nineteen days. He was married to Miss Mary Ann Wallace, October 19, 1850 nearly forty-six years ago, by Rev. Professor Daniel J. Pinckney, deceased. He came to this township fifty-six years ago, and has resided here ever since. He leaves a wife and one child of a family of seven children. He and his wife joined the U. B. church thirty-eight years ago, and have lived a christian life ever since. The funeral sermon was preached by Rev. J. H. Grimm of Forreston. His son-in-law Fred Michaels, son Clyde and daughter Drusella of Aurora, Ill., attended the burial. Relatives and friends from Mt. Morris, West Grove, Forreston, Polo, and Freeport were in attendance. The pall bearers, all old settlers, were J. F. Blair, Henry Omholtz, J. S. Myers, D. H. Strouse, J. A. Cornell and
Jacob Garwig. We have known deceased fifty-six years, he was an industrious, quiet and peaceable citizen, good neighbor and a life long democrat.Submitted by Morgan
