Mrs. Mary Kennedy was born in Ireland June 24, 1831 and died at her home in Rochelle at 128 South Sixth Street Wednesday morning, February 11th, 1920.
She was the daughter of the late Maurice and Margaret (nee Ward) Doody. Mary Doody came to new York at the age of twenty-one and was married to Patrick Kennedy at Bellows Falls, Vermont in the year 1854. One year later they came to Illinois and lived on a farm in Dement Township moving to Rochelle in 1897.
She was a good charitable woman and loved by all who knew her. She is survived by two daughters, Miss Mary Kennedy and Mrs. Peter Diedrick of this city, four sons, Morris and Patrick Kennedy of this city, Daniel Kennedy of Chicago and Martin Kennedy of Vinton, Iowa, one sister, Mrs. Nora Decourcey of this city, besides eleven grandchildren and one great grandchild.
The funeral will be held at St. Patrick's Catholic Church Friday morning where solemn High Mass was celebrated at 9:30, burial being in the South Side Cemetery.

Delaney, of Oregon
