Death of Mrs. S. Stine
Mrs. Mary Katherine Palmer Stine, wife of Samuel Stine, died early Monday morning, March 5, 1928, at her residence near Myrtle, after a illness of long duration.
Mrs. Stine was born April 5, 1869, near Myrtle, and had resided in this vicinity all her life. She was married to Samuel Stine, October 17, 1894. To this union were born two children, who with the husband survive. She was a member of the Myrtle M. E. Church and prominent in all of the church activities when her health would allow her.
She leaves to mourn her loss her husband, one daughter, Mrs. Vida Hobart; one son, Harold, who is a student at Illinois University; four sisters, Mrs. Lizzie Rowe, Mrs. Lucy Wagner, Mrs. Ella Emery, and Mrs. Bertha Knodle; two brothers, Quinby Palmer of Rockford and E. L. Palmer of Myrtle. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 at Myrtle M. E. Church, Rev. Pittman and Rev. Mook officiating. Burial in the Lightsville Cemetery.
