Milford Cross, died at home at 502 E. Buffalo St. Sunday morning at 8:15 o'clock. He was the son of William Henry and Margaret Ellen Wallace Cross.
He was born Jan. 6, 1869 at Maryland Station, Illinois and grew to manhood and received his education in the rural schools of this vicinity.
On Aug. 3, 1893 he was united in marriage to Miss Myrtle E. Jones at Woosung, and they spent their entire life in Buffalo and surrounding townships. He had spent his entire life in the state of Illinois.
To this union was born eight children, 6 of whom survive with the wife to mourn his passing. The children are : Mrs. Gaylord (Mabel) Snyder, Mrs. Harry (Della) Myers of Polo, Mrs. Paul (Dottie) Kesselring of Dixon, and Mrs. Arthur (Nellie) Fegan of Byron. and two sons, Cyrus H. and Alvin W Cross, both of Polo. also 15 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. One daughter and one son, his father and mother, one brother and one sister preceded him in death.
He united with the Christian church and lived in that faith until he died.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, Jan. 30, at 1:30, at Melvin's Funeral Home, conducted by Rev. J.E. Goodballet, with burial at Fairmount Cemetary.Submitted by Brian Hulleberg
