Died of Consumption

Miss Vernie Young, of Oregon Township, died at her home aftera lingering illness of consumption, on June 6, 1902. She was bornOctober 1st, 1874. She leaves her parents, George and Mary EllenYoung, three brothers, Joseph, Olin and Albert, and one sisterBelle, to mourn her loss. She was a friend to all who knew her,and a devoted child and loving sister. The funeral occurred onSaturday, June 7th, the services being conducted by Elder D.E.Brubaker at the Salem Church, and was largely attended.
