Philoma C. Wagner Stonebraker, The Herald and Torch Light, Hagerstown, Maryland 12 Sept. 1889

The death of Mrs. Francis W. Stonebraker is announced in the following terms by the Independent-Democrat of Oregon, Illinois of September 4:

Mrs. Philoma C., wife of Francis W. Stonebraker, died Thursday, Aug. 29, age 59 years and 10 months. She was born near Hagerstown, Md., Oct 29, 1829 and immigrated to Ogle county with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Wagner, May 13, 1939, and was married to Mr. Stonebraker, Sept. 14,1854. The funeral took place in the M.E. church, this place, Saturday and was attended by a very large concourse of deeply sympathizing friends and acquaintances. Interment in Oakwood Cemetery. To all who knew her, her life is the highest eulogy that could be pronounced, kind, generous and benevolent, almost to a fault, she drew around her many ardent friends, and during her long and painful affliction of dropsy she manifest the utmost patience and resignation.
