Samuel K. Brenner of the firm of Nicodeumus & Brenner, grocers of Polo, was born in Cumberland Co., Pa., May 13, 1858, and is the son of John and Anna (Kauffman) Brenner. He came to Ogle County in 1878, and was engaged as merchant's clerk till October 1884, when he formed the existing partnership with Mr. Cyrus Nicodemus.
Mr. Brenner was married at Dixon, Ill., February 22, 1882, to Miss Fannie Wolf, daughter of Jacob Wolf. Mrs. Brenner was born in Buffalo Township, Ogle County, December 1, 1862, and is a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church. Politically, Mr. B. is a firm adherent to the principles advocated by the Republican party. Socially her is a member of the I. O. O. F. and the order of Modern Woodman.
