SERENES T. SCHREIBER DIES
Word has been received of the death of Serenes T. Schreiber, which occurred Thursday, July 4, in his home at San Bernardino, Cal. Funeral services and burial took place Saturday, July 6.
Mr. Schreiber was born July 31, 1872, at Leaf River, the son of Benjamin and Amelia Motter Schreiber. He was a graduate of Naperville College.
He was married to Marie Brown of Leaf River, and at one time was propietor of the Riverside Hotel in Leaf River, after which he moved to Rockford where he practiced law until 1911.
He later moved to Boise, Idaho and became a mining attorney. He retired a short time ago and recently moved to San Bernardino. In the fall of 1940 he returned to visit his mother, whose death occurred soon after.
Surviving in addition to his wife, are a son, Lowell, who lives in the state of Washington, and a married daughter, Nadine, whose home is in San Bernardino.
Also surviving are two brothers and two sisters: Irvin Schreiber, Rockford; Orie Schreiber, Holcomb; Mrs. Sylvia Martin, Egan; and Mrs. H. R. Hanmer, Rockford. One brother, Clayton, preceded him in death in 1941.
