George W. Traverse died at the Old Folks Home, Mt. Morris, last Sunday evening, aged 82 years. The funeral was held at the Dunkard church, Pine Creek, Wednesday afternoon. Mr. Traverse was an old settler, having moved to Ogle Co., in April, 1869. He leaves six children to mourn his loss, being two sons and four daughters, William and Frank Traverse, Mrs. Everly, Mrs. Brown and Mrs. Ambrose of this place, and Mrs. Spickler, of Iowa.

Mrs. Travis (Traverse), wife of Mr. George Travis, of this city, died Friday morning, after a long illness. She was seventy-four years old last July. The funeral will be held at Pine Creek Dunkard church Sunday morning. The procession will leave Polo at half past ten. Mr. and Mrs. Travis came to this county from Washington County, Maryland in the spring of 1869. They had a family of seven children, two sons and four daughters are living. All of them except one daughter reside in this vicinity.

Mrs. Travis, wife of Mr. George Travis, of Polo, Illinois, died there last Friday morning after a long illness. She was in her 74th year. The funeral was held Sunday at Pine Creek Dunkard Church. Mr. and Mrs. Travis left this county in 1869. They had a family of eleven children, two sons and four daughters are living. All of them except one daughter reside in that vicinity.
