Obituary (surname spelled Kindel in obituary - Kindell in cemetery record.

Mr. Wilbur L., second son of Mr. and Mrs. John Kindel, who has been suffering for some time past from a severe hemorrhage of the lungs, died on last Sabbath at 3 o’clock A. M., at the residence of his parents, in North Byron, and was followed, on Monday, by a large company of relatives and friends to his last resting place in the Middle Creek Cemetery.

The pastor, Rev. J. S. Braddock, conducted the exercises, using as his text, I Cor. 15-57: Thanks be to God, who giving us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Wilbur was in his 24th year, and was a young man of steady and industrious habits, greatly beloved by his friends, and had already won for himself a place and reputation in the Elgin Watch Factory which would have brought success to him if his life and health had been spared. But he was, as we trust, and as he professed, fitted through grace for another and a higher place, to which the Lord hath exalted him, and where he now awaits the coming of loved ones left behind.

He was married to Miss Katie Ellis, of Elgin, who with a little son remain to mourn his early death. They have the tender sympathies of their many friends in this their sore bereavement; and also our prayers that Jehovah may be to them “The widow’s God, and the orphan’s stay.”
